Türkiye Health Policies Institute (TÜSPE) and WHO Collaborate on EVIPNet Training Program
A three-day training program was organized by the Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB) – Türkiye Health Policies Institute (TÜSPE), in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe and the WHO Country Office in Türkiye, as part of the EVIPNet (Evidence-Informed Policy Network) initiative, which aims to support the effective use of scientific evidence in the development of health policies.
Held between May 26–28, 2025, the training emphasized the importance of knowledge translation approaches in evidence-informed policymaking processes. Practical sessions were conducted to support policymakers and researchers in applying effective and systematic methods throughout these processes.
Participants gained comprehensive knowledge on how to integrate scientific evidence into health policies and how to enhance the transparency and effectiveness of decision-making processes. Additionally, sessions focused on strategies for fostering effective communication among policymakers, researchers, and the public.
Field experts Prof. Dr. Fadi El-Jardali, Marge Reinap, and Racha Fadlallah served as facilitators during the training. The knowledge and skills shared through the program are expected to contribute significantly to the advancement of a culture of evidence-informed policymaking in Türkiye.
