President and Scientific Board Members of the Türkiye Health Policies Institute Attended the ‘Neuron Platform Workshop’ Hosted by Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa
On October 3, 2025, the “Neuron Platform Workshop” was held under the leadership of Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1004 Excellence Center Support Program, supporting the project titled “Development of Biomarkers and Advanced Technological Stimulation Systems for the Diagnosis, Treatment, and Monitoring of Diseases Causing Neuronal Damage.”
Organized under the coordination of the Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Technology Transfer Office, the workshop brought together key stakeholders and academics. Participants included Rector of Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Prof. Dr. Nuri AYDIN, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Elif GÜZEL MEYDANLI, Prof. Dr. Mehmet BİLGİN, and Prof. Dr. Erol İNCE, TÜBİTAK KAMAG Group Coordinator Fahri IŞIKHAN, TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) Vice President Assoc. Prof. Özden ERCAN, TÜBİTAK Scientific Programs Specialist Furkan AKKOYUNLU, project researchers, and faculty members.
President of the Türkiye Health Policies Institute (TÜSPE) Prof. Dr. Işıl MARAL and among the TÜSPE Scientific Board members, Prof. Dr. Haluk ÖZSARI (Dean and Head of the Department of Health Management, Faculty of Health Sciences, Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa), Prof. Dr. Haydar SUR (Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Head of the Department of Public Health, and Head of the Department of Health Management, Faculty of Health Sciences, Üsküdar University, and Advisor to the Minister of Health), and Prof. Dr. Yusuf ÇELİK (Faculty Member, Department of Health Management, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Hacettepe University) also took part in the workshop.
During the sessions, it was emphasized that the Neuron Platform aims to combine strong scientific infrastructure, clinical expertise, and qualified human resources to develop innovative and integrated solutions for the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up processes of neurological diseases. Furthermore, it was noted that beyond scientific production, the platform seeks to contribute to the development of accessible, innovative, and sustainable models in healthcare services.
Throughout the workshop, platform partners evaluated the current progress of the subprojects, shared experiences and progress reports, and discussed potential future collaborations within the scope of the project.
