Türkiye Health Policies Institute Continues Its Multifaceted Efforts in Fight Against Addiction
Under the Presidency of Türkiye Health Institutes (TÜSEB), Türkiye Health Policies Institute held a series of meetings with academics, practitioners and public representatives to develop scientific and evidence-based approaches in the fight against addiction. Projects on tobacco, drug and behavioral addiction were evaluated, and new strategies and collaborations were discussed.
During the meetings, critical issues such as machine learning supported projects, early detection of behavioral addictions, genetic and epigenetic research, prevention policies and integration of addicted people into society were discussed. It was emphasized that coordination with the Turkish Green Crescent Society, the Ministry of Health and local administrations should be strengthened and that education and awareness-raising activities in the fight against addiction should be expanded.
The Türkiye Health Policies Institute will continue to work on the fight against addiction with scientific and innovative methods. In accordance with the decisions taken, it aims to implement applicable projects in the fight against addiction at the national level.
