Consultation Meeting Held on Potential Projects Involving Türkiye and Canada Under the Horizon Europe Programme
On 11 June 2025, a consultation meeting was held under the coordination of the Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB) - Türkiye Health Policies Institute (TÜSPE) to explore potential Horizon Europe projects involving joint participation from Türkiye and Canada. The meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Işıl MARAL, President of the Türkiye Health Policies Institute (TÜSPE), was attended by Assoc. Prof. Fatih ŞEKERCİOĞLU from Toronto Metropolitan University; Assoc. Prof. Hatice İKİIŞIK and Assoc. Prof. Mustafa ÇAKIR, Asst. Prof. Hale ARIK TAŞYIKAN from Istanbul Medeniyet University; Asst. Prof. Emine YAYLALI from Istanbul Technical University; Specialist Dr. Esmehan AYŞİT from Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Health; Dr. Birol YETİM and Gamze ÖZKAN from Türkiye Health Policies Institute.
During the meeting, opportunities for project development, consortium structures, and the application process within the scope of Horizon Europe calls were discussed. It was stated that it would be appropriate to shape a new project proposal with the participation of researchers from Türkiye and Canada. Topics such as the impact of environmental factors on elderly health and e-health solutions were highlighted as priority areas. The meeting concluded with a consensus on jointly planning the technical details of the project preparation process and maintaining communication through regular online meetings.
